I left the Sunshine State a few years after graduating from high school. I relocated in Illinois, where I married my husband of 44 years and we raised two daughter there. In 2003 we moved back to Florida so we could be close to our daughters who had both come to Florida after they graduated from college. My husband and I both worked for the Volusia County Schools until the end of the 2017 school year, at which time we chose to retire.
